Another studio session, this time with the wonderful Jade. We’ve been working together for years now and it’s always a great collaborative effort when we actually manage to find the time. This is the first studio set we’ve done together in about 7 years, most of our work has been location based.
Following on from a previous post, this set once again proved that every day is a school day. Learned a lot, finally nailed some stuff that I’ve been trying to perfect for years and had a really positive, if brief, session.
We only had two hours to work with and a few different looks to get through. Getting the lights set up with the right modifiers, placing them in different corners of the studio, doing some quick tests to get the power levels right and then just working our way around worked really well. This was easier as we were only using one light setups. It was a great way to shoot a few different styles in a short space of time. It’s also nice to have the same look with different lighting styles as it gives you a good reference as to how those lighting styles affect the subject.
Starting to get what it want in the studio, now it’s time to work on my editing skills :).
Thanks, as always, to Trev and Steph at Phlash Worx studios in Leamington and a big thanks to Jade for all her help and patience.
